Privacy Policy

VerAI ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. In short: VerAI does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app contains no networking functionality of any kind — it is technically incapable of sending your data anywhere.

Data We Collect

None. VerAI does not collect any personal information, account details, contact information, or usage analytics. The app does not require an account, does not use identifiers, and does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks.

How Your Images Are Processed

All image analysis is performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in machine learning frameworks (Core ML and Vision). Images you scan or select are processed locally on your iPhone and are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. Your images never leave your device. Analysis results are displayed to you and are not saved by the app.

Face Data

As part of its on-device image analysis, VerAI uses Apple's Vision framework to detect only the presence and number of faces in an image you choose to analyze. This face count is used solely as one signal in calculating the image's risk score.

• What is collected: Nothing is collected or retained. The app momentarily detects whether faces appear in the image and how many. It does not extract facial landmarks, facial geometry, faceprints, or any biometric information, and it does not identify, recognize, or match faces to any individual.
• How it is used: The face count is used only, and immediately, to help determine whether the selected image may be AI-generated and to compute its on-device risk score. There are no other uses.
• Sharing and storage: Face data is never shared with any third party and is never stored anywhere — not on your device and not on any server. All processing happens entirely on your device; the app has no networking capability.
• Retention: Face data is not retained. It exists only in your device's memory for the moment of analysis and is discarded immediately and automatically when the analysis of the image completes.

Data Retention

VerAI retains no data. All analysis — including image classification, text recognition, QR/barcode detection, and face presence detection — is performed ephemerally in your device's memory and is discarded as soon as the analysis completes. Nothing is written to any database or server, and nothing persists after you close a scan.

Third-Party Services & AI Services

VerAI does not use any third-party AI services, cloud AI models, or external APIs. All artificial intelligence processing is performed exclusively by an on-device model bundled inside the app, together with Apple's on-device Core ML and Vision frameworks. No user data of any kind — images, text, face data, scan results, or anything else — is ever sent to us or to any third party. VerAI also does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and does not require an internet connection to function.

Children's Privacy

VerAI does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is rated suitable for all ages.
